RE: Magnepans and Vincent amps

Posted by FX35 on August 13, 2020 at 17:38:37:

A friend of mine who own's a audio shop in Germany uses Vincent mono's with 20's in his own home, and he has a lot to choose from, so you get the idea, but....... he also uses it for movies + home theatre at high levels, not really my thing, I'm more of a purist......... honest, uncolored music reproduction is the only thing I'm interested in, so when a company states on their site that they added tubes to "warm up the sound" I start to look elsewhere. They also classify their amps as "class A", but are actually A/B, with only the first 10 watts in class A.
If you go for Vincent's then at least go mono and get as much class A as you're willing to pay.
