Just wanted to throw in a thought. I owned hybrid omnidirectional electrostatic designed by Dick Shahanian for 25 years in a 14'x15'.6" room with an 8' ceiling. I had to keep one side of 20 square against the wall. They worked bringing image and depth.....But do not think there are any American made omni hybrids-King makes one.....I do have the 1.7's and love them in a 15'x24' room with two big mono amps. I heard the Janen hybrid in the 60's and dreamed of owning them....
