The socks were originally white (well off-white). Color has nothing to do with it. Actually, they are in the "man cave". I fixed up a room above the detached garage, which has a kitchen and bathroom as well. She liked it so she moved in with her stained glass and painting hobbies and set up an office too. Then she proceeded to complain that the music was too loud, so I bought some Grado headphones. She then complained she could still hear the music and it must be too loud in my head. So I got some Sennheiser's which are a closed design. She still hates the speakers. Such is life.
