Three panels suggest a 1 series...

Posted by Jim Treanor on May 29, 2007 at 15:46:06:

such as a 1U, 1C, or 1D--two bass panels and a tweeter panel per side. I had a pair of 1C's (driven by an ARC D-76) shoehorned into a 12'x12' apartment living room once (temporary quarters 'til we got a house), and it was a marriage made in hell. They needed breathing room, lots of it. They came alive in the 24'x15' living room in the house we moved into, but I wouldn't suggest anything appreciably smaller than that if you want them to sing.
