...Sicily. I love Sicily--the historic architecture/structures, the local cuisine, and the regional wines (particularly Orvieto and Nero d'Avola).

Due to persistent droughts and increasing temperatures, their water shortages are rivalling that of the US SW. It's so bad, that there are scheduled "rolling blackouts" for water service in many areas, and potential tourists are being warned that there may be interruptions in water service during their stay.

What a shame. I've always loved my stays on the island.
