In my younger days, frog legs were packaged and sold at the chain supermarkets .

A guy up the street from me, on the less regulated side of the street , where it was legal to just build your house without inspection, A horse lived in a corral , and the house on the corner had a guy who farmed frogs for meat.

The neighbors were scandalized when the police arrested him for animal cruelty , harvesting the legs and then letting them grow back to be harvested again.
