BBC's Great Asian Railway Journeys

Posted by RGA on January 24, 2022 at 06:26:48:

I have forwarded this series and thought I'd pass it along especially for folks who like to travel but are stuck due to the pandemic.

It's been almost exactly 2 years since my last vacation where I spent a week in Singapore and a week in Tokyo.

So I thought I post the Singapore episode. It's pretty nice as he takes you through the history of the city as well as some rail history as well as visiting people and places.

I quite enjoyed Singapore - a lot more than I thought I would. It's impressive how fast they grew from a jungle to a metropolis and how diverse the population has become.

Season one has 19 episodes I believe. But it's on Youtube.
