guns floating around in our society, often stored and handled carelessly, to a reasonable and rational level certainly would, if not eradicate, certainly reduce gun violence and gun crime. Guns are very often used by criminals because they are so common and easy to get. No, the guys above are correct, so much of it is a psychological obsession that has no benefit to society, and is the cause of a great deal of harm.
The Second Amendment exists, but it, like the other Amendments, is not absolute, and subject to interpretation by the courts. Let's hope the courts begin to take a more helpful approach. Not holding my breath, though.
