You know it's spring when...

the birds come home to roost. This dove has been occupying this spot on our back porch for a few weeks now and has since laid a couple of eggs. We are pretty sure she is one of the birds born on our porch last year I understand the female hibernates during the incubation period which would explain the absence of the male bird, who built the nest, bringing her food. I hope all goes well and we can use our porch again in a few more weeks.
