greed has little to do with being rich. Greed is like a poor to middle class fantasy of rich.

Most folks get rich because:

They inherited it (where is greed there?)
They owned a really good business (I call that talent)
They invented something (again, talent)
Stock market lucky picks, like Microsoft IPO, or Apple at $12/share before the 14/1 (total) splits. (Just smart stock picking. again no greed)

Greed is:
The bastards selling mortgage securities, knowing they are crap, just to make money.
The guy who sabotages your work because he is jealous you got a promotion.
The guy who murders you (at random) because you have a much better car than he does.
All those small people who think they should have more' because, Hell everybody on TV does!

Too many people think the rich should give it away. Ridiculous.
However the rich do fund endless charity projects, and the arts, hospitals, public works. I thank the rich for every show I watch on PBS. Their names are listed.

If they handed all the money to poor people, it would be spent in a week, on total crap, and drugs/booze and stupid things. (look at 90% of lotto winners, end up broke and bankrupt in three years.)

PS I an not rich, I live on a small pension and SS retirement funds.
