sorry i'm just returning to this site.

i got my valencias about a year ago but the timing was not favorable for me to appreciate them. i had gotten into a pair of ribbon speakers which seemed much better to me. but these ribbons are much less effecient.

now that i moved into the set sound, i am very happy to have the valencias.

i've had sets around, the 2a3 and the 45 for a while, but i never really heard the set sound until about a month ago. i mean i heard the amps but not under the conditions which i could really hear the magic. well i heard the magic and that's that.

i belive i tried the 2a3 and the 45 briefly with the valencias, as i was trying to match the best amp for them. but 300b, is in my mind definitely the best of the 3. 2a3 is good, 45 is better, and 300b is the best in my opinion. (although each one has features in the sound that othe others don't have. i reallylike all the sets) plus with the extra power the 300b gives, it's definitely the way to go.
