RE: Anyone else know the Dr Edgar ?

Posted by Larry I on December 29, 2021 at 13:14:15:

I met him a couple of times at shows, I believe once at CES/T.H.E. Show, and once at CEDIA. At CEDIA, I attended a demonstration put on by TAD of their drivers, including their beryllium diaphragm compression driver. At that time, I had no idea who he was, but, he started up a conversation and asked me what I thought of the driver. I said that I liked its good dynamics, but, I did not like the brittle, hard edge initial attack to notes. He agreed with me that that was a problem that he had been trying to solve without success because he otherwise liked that driver a lot. It was only at the end of the conversation that he mentioned that he was Dr. Edgar.
