It looks the same and it's definitely 16 ohms but I won't break up the set; it just seems wrong to me.

It's certainly possible the SP12D is a reissue. This configuration of Patrician 800 with available in August of 1964 and possibly as early as January of 1963 when the Patrician 800 was introduced. I'm not sure when EV stopped production of the SP12. I found this out last night by looking through old issues of Audio magazine.
