A5: Yes!
Q6: How does one go about determining this wavelength equivalency?

Given
[w]=[c]/[f] – wavelength
[c] – velocity of sound in air
[f] – frequency
and
[w] <= 0.3*[d]
then
[c]/[f] <= 0.3*[d]
and
[f] => [c]/(0.3*[d])
Q7: Have you (or anyone else) ever heard this affect,
A7: Yes. (Should read effect!)
Q8: and what does it sound like?
A8: Sound similar that herd when putting a seashell to your ear.
It is commonly referred to as ‘coloration’.
Q9: Just a muting at certain frequencies, or?
A9: As frequency increases, more and more frequencies are ‘muted’ until all remaining are entirely suppressed. The idea is not to go there.
Q10: One main question I have, is if you have (2) 1" drivers coupled at a Y junction, what should the combined throat size be?
A10: As there are two throats, each is 1” in dia.
In the neck, where the dia’s. are larger and bifurcation is terminated, the joined area is twice that of an otherwise equivalent horn used with a single driver. For whatever horn function you are using, as length away from throat increases, so does horn section area.
Q11: I would be interested in learning more or being pointed in the right directions to learn more about how to effectively coupling drivers.
