I use the analogue pass through for a 2 ch Arcam CD92. It is transparent and comparable to what I get out of my Bryston pre.
This is a very good pre/pro. Shines with music, whispers and aliens destroying earth. The dialogue is excellent. It provides a surrounding experience.
