I was going to post -- What about the Krell HTS... but it is too late. I had a Meridian 565/562V (still own it, just don't use it right now) and I changed to a Krell HTS and have had NO regrets. The HTS is very, very good on music and doesn't have any of the problems of the Lex equip (consistently rated as only ok on music). I have heard the casablanca quite a bit as well and it has additional flexibility that the HTS doesn't have (but no component video switching which the HTS DOES have). The one thing that HTS lacks is a 7 channel alternative that mc1 and casablanca have (and my meridian had). However, I simply do the EX format using the ADA standalone unit and this has proven very good for the few "EX" format discs out there. The HTS is also quite simple to use and set up and it is built like a tank. HIGHLY recommended if you are looking in this price range.
