JVC SA75GD works for me (more)

Posted by Cheviot on March 11, 2002 at 20:15:53:

It's got everything you're looking for (digital coax, optical, component, s-video, etc.), offers progressive scan (WEGA to the best of my knowledge doesn't support it, but leaves room for upgrades), and dvd-audio. Also does MP3/CDRs & has a nice menu interface. The biggest complaint I've heard re: the JVC's is the reliability, but I guess when you're buying any mainstream component you run that risk. If you check on pricegrabber you can have it for under $250 shipped. Also note, the SA60BK is the same player, but in black not gold.
