A lot of balanced (XLR) connections do not meet the US pro circuit standard as Ralph of Atmosphere repeatedly says.
I have also found certain RCA cables (Cardas Golden cross) sound best to me.
I will have to try my old Cardas Golden cross cables with this cd player.
