Have you checked the power management setting on your computer? It sounds to me that you may have the default Windows USB power setting selected. This turns off the USB out to an external device after a while (while you are streaming the computer thinks it is idling).

Go to Control Panel/Hardware & Sound/Power Options. Then select your power setting, open it and select "Change advanced power settings", then "USB Settings" expand it and look at " USB Selective Suspend Setting".
