Benchmark DAC2D shutting off inexplicably. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Posted by KG4NEL on July 5, 2020 at 22:09:50:

I recently bought a used DAC2D, seemingly fairly lightly-used. Got it running with Win7, Foobar w/ ASIO drivers, it's recognizing all my hi-res material and the proper lights are lighting up where they should. The only problem is, once it's warmed up it doesn't want to stay on; sometimes I'll walk away to come back to it turned off, other times it'll go kaput in the middle of what I'm listening to.

Changed power cords, tried plugging in to a different output on the Surgex, no change. My suspicion is that it's an iffy solder joint somewhere, but the unit is still so new to me that maybe there's a setting I inadvertently set when I was turning on the USB 2.0 mode. Thanks!
