Streaming smart, MQA meh, downloads dead ?

Posted by AbeCollins on June 15, 2017 at 08:51:34:

Makes you wonder about Neil's PonoMusic untimely business model that was focused on downloads when downloads were clearly in decline. His desire for higher quality audio should be commended, but downloads?

The shift to streaming is probably a smart move by HDtracks and they get to check-off the MQA box in their advertising (meh).

More streaming competition with a focus on audio quality will hopefully bring in even more players with more choice while keeping costs in check.
