I briefly spoke to ModWright about the Oppo. I was thinking about fixing my ModWright Pioneer 440, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it when the Toshibas and Oppos are so cheap. . It's my understanding that Mr. Wright uses an unmodified(!) Oppo for his HT rig. Don't remember which model.
