You're absolutely right!

I own FiiO FD7's and they sound identical to the FiiO FDX. The advantage of the FDX is that Amazon just dropped the price from $700 down to $492 but the FD7's are still priced at $600. That's the only reason I bought the FDX and that's why I'm recommending them.

FiiO FDX earphones sound fantastic and I think they're well worth the price of $492.
