I quit buying earbuds after the FiiO FD5 and FD7. These are the only ones I listen to now. The FD5 was $300 and the FD7 was $600. However, the FD7 is only very slightly better than the FD5. I would love to hear the top Stax headphones for comparison. I'm sure Stax would sound better, but the FiiO FD5 and FD7 are both so good that I don't really feel the need for anything better.

I actually prefer to listen to speakers and I have some excellent speakers, too. ;-)
