Been playing around with different desktop DACs for listening to Tidal with headphones (Oppo PM3s) while my turntable is being repaired and I happen to have a program called Audio Hijack that I use for work. When I pass tidal through the program and add just a little bit of reverb, everything sounds way better. The limit is that the program seems to be limited to 48k but it's a nice improvement for casual listening. I wonder why DAC/Headphone amps don't have this on a switch? Seems like a no brainer. This program has endless plug ins (and equalizers) which is kinda fun. I've been listening to live albums with the Waves NX plugin which uses the camera in my laptop to keep the music in front of me "on the stage" when ever I turn my head. It's a crazy thing... but fun to try out!
