$60.00 bucks buys me an upgrade, every time I get the itch....

Posted by TWB on January 19, 2021 at 07:23:34:

It started out with a Bose set of Sound True headphones that I picked up at a Bose outlet store for $60.00 a couple of years ago... Comfortable, came with a nice case, not the end all to be sure but a nice set of cans for the money... The upgrade bug hit me after a while, and I started seeing reviews about the Sennheiser Momentum series and I picked up a set of the original Momentums again for $60.00... WOW! Articulation, definition and imaging... the ONLY problem was the clamping force was just too tight on my head and the earcups were a little small. Then I saw a review by this dude on YouTube... Huh? Phillips makes serious headphones!?!?!? The reviewer is a little annoying, but the more I watched his reviews and compared to others I knew he was on to something.. I ordered the Fidelio L1 off Ebay (again $60.00) and unfortunately they arrived DOA and I was able to return them and get my money back.. In the meantime, another seller had listed the Fidelio L2 (which was really the pair that I wanted, and again $60.00) and I snapped them up! WOW! These have EVERYTHING that I have been looking for in a headphone and then some... As the reviewer noted, THESE are serious headphones! Gone is the tight clamping force, the earcups fit me nicely and they are well made cans that deliver resolution, imaging and detail that is incredible! I think I will be good now for the foreseeable future... That is until I want to spend $60.00 again!!!
