I think they get a bad rap. I now have 3 of their models: Edition 11, Signature Pro, and 1400I. All are winners and I really dig how they image.

Some of the reviews I have seen talk about them being on the brighter side. Those are different models than I have so maybe they are... but I can tell you that the way the S-logic works, you can adjust the treble simply by moving the ear forward or backward in the cup. More forward in the cup more treble. More to the back of the cup less treble...so maybe they just had them on their head in a way that accentuated the treble?

Anyhow if you get a chance give them a listen and you may find some great options for your enjoyment.
