I really like them. They have to be broken in though. Put a cd on repeat for at least 72 hrs. Before break in, they sound bass heavy and dark. They also respond well to a cable upgrade. They are semi-open back, but unless you really crank them, anyone sitting nearby won't hear them.
Very comfortable. I compared them to much more expensive Sennheisers, and chose the Nighthawks.
I was slightly dismayed to see the price reduction, because I just bought mine this summer. But I think they were a good deal even at full price. $350 is crazy cheap for this level of sound.
