messy desk, but now use an Aune S16 and a Schiit Vali 2 / Grado RS2e

apologies for the messy desk, and pipe tobacco ash all over the place.

However it is about the sound, not about the mess.

I had an Aune S16 DAC laying around, I tried it with and without the Schiit Vali 2. I prefer the Vali 2 as opposed to the built in headphone amp in the Aune S16. I also changed the tube in the Schiit to an Electro Harmonix tube. Because I like the neutral sound of the tubes.

One can argue whether the tubes makes that much of a difference but I believe it does. Transport is a Google Chromebook, which I use for my day to day browsing.

Upgrade is substantial over the same Schiit using an Audioengine D1.
