Stacked Advents are the way to go but remember to turn the pair on top so that the tweeters are upside down (i.e. near the tweeters on the bottom pair). I am not sure if an old Dynaco Stereo 70 would drive the Advents or if it would match the Advent receiver but it would be interesting to try. I always thought the Phase Linear amp was a bit edgy (early SS afterall)but you might want to try a GAS Ampzilla or Son of Amp. or a Dynaco 400. Of course, if you are really adventerous and are prepared to give up a little bass, you might look for a pair of old Quads. I think the Advent receiver would drive the Quads beautifully.
