In your era, there is the ReVox A77 reel-to-reel tape recorder (I got one) and the Luxman K-15 Cassette deck (I have one as well). For speakers, one might try to score a pair of AR 2Ax's (I had a pair--they are power hungry beasts and a good speaker by 70s standards). If you are into great things go with Klipschorns (I like 'em big--someday I'll have a pair).
