RE: Any significance with...

You might want to be careful with Denon. I bought a less expensive one about 4 years ago.
Broke it in with a CD-R on replay. CD-Rs in my experience are the first thing to show problems with the transport/laser.

It was perfect and I was happy. About a week later, it started skipping on the same CD-Rs it used to played without trouble, and also taking longer to load commercial CDs. Returned it to Denon Canada and they sent a refund, no questions asked.

For the same CAD you could get a Tascam CD-200 and an RME DAC, both professional gear and sold by Amazon.ca so you could return if unhappy.
You would use the Tascam as a transport, sending its digital out to the RME, which can also function as an excellent preamp, with a great remote control.
