Evolving from near-field to larger floor space...

Maybe time for me to evolve. I'm thinking of purchasing the Maggie LRS.
Used to have Martin Logan Sequels. Before that had large Maggies. Loved them both when I had a lot of floor space. But neither worked well when I moved into a tiny apartment. So I sold them. Replaced them with Adam Audio AX7s, a near-field speaker with built in amplification.
I've changed residence since then, and now I have plenty of floor space. And I've got an Audio Research VT130 amplifier that's currently unused. Would love to plug it into the the LRSes. Got a top quality subwoofer to to integrate with the LRSes - Muse model 18. Preamplifier is the Audio research SP8.
Seems like the LRSes for only $650 would be a major upgrade. Especially with Audio Research VT130 amplification, because Maggies love power. And the Muse Sub goes up to 50 hz, the exact low end of the LRS at 3 db.
Worried only that the LRSes would be too much of a toy, under-performing relative to my other gear. Maybe need to scale up to bigger Magnepans?
