And I'm now totally in love with The Stooges. I was a little too young to be exposed to them, because by the time I was "exploring" in the New York music scene, it was the mid 1980's and The Stooges had been replaced by all the bands that were influenced by them, but after watching the documentary and listening to the old music I'm SO PISSED I wasn't aware that these guys were the real godfathers of punk and I think just as influential as Led Zeppelin in creating a new sound. Like Iggy said, "We killed the 60's"!
I'm especially upset at having no clue how cool Iggy Pop is because for several years I lived literally right down the street from him and all we ever talked about was cars. :(
