I installed a similar unit, a number of years ago. At the time the unit claimed to protect from lightening. I happened to look back at the same product a few years later and saw that the claim to protect from lightening was replaced with a disclaimer similar to Eaton about lightening and simply said it was a surge protector. I looked at other similar products and found the same thing. Does anyone happen to know the history, of this? Possibly the result of lawsuits?
