I'm not technically informed, but I do know that frequencies high in the spectrum are bad for good sound. It's well known that digititus from cd players, dacs, etc feed back through the circuits and interfere with good sound as do all the electric motors in your house. The Environmental Protection nunit eliminates them. I dont know how. All I know is the very noticeable difference it made to my system and 65" plasma tv.
as the common phrase goes "the difference was not subtle".
