All I needed to do was plug the convertor into my computer which was about as complex as plugging a tuner into a pre amp and less complex than connecting a cassette player.

When I get a new cd I just click 'import' and it's done in 2 minutes, again about as complex as putting a cd into a player and pressing play.

However things may vary for other computer platforms but I wouldn't know about those.
