Is it dying again?

...kids have alwyas listened to music on low quality equipment - we listened to 8 tracks and cassette tapes.

Today kids listen to lossy MP3 downloads on iPods.

So what.

The ones who care about music reproduction quality will move toward using better equipment.

They may even become audiophiles like we did.

My daughter loves music but doesn't care much about the sound quality, like most kids her age.

What am I doing for our hobby - I demo my sytsem to my college age daughter's friends and pretty much any guests who come over for dinner.
