I can't agree.

I still own stuff from the late 70s and greatly prefer it to an iPod ...even through a headphone system that costs more than my entire stereo.

I'm not anti-headphone ...I like phones ...I just greatly prefer speakers. I also disagree that speakers are just for parties ...we used to listen to music in our doom room all the time, no drinking involved, not bothering anyone, just enjoying music.

I think its sad that listening to music is predominantly done individually now ...its fun to share the experience.
