I tried the Teleportation Tweak - sort of....

Posted by jeromelang on December 7, 2009 at 18:21:30:

i was tempted to try geoff's tweak. but i didn't want something done to my system if it is going to be permanent. from my correspondence with him, i sort of got the idea that there is no way to "undone" the changes, so i didn't tried it.

i did the next best thing - i unplug the telephone wire from my phone, and to my surprise, notice a more open and transparent sound. whenever i do this, imaging floats outside of my speaker cabinet, whereas it was stuck into the boxes with telephone wire plugged in.

this happens even though the telephone is outside my listening room.

i think geoff's nonsensical explanaton totally turned off many prospective customers who might have benefited from this tweak. while i will never pay for his tweak, i want to thank geoff for the inspiration to unplug my telephone wire. it makes a very significant enhancement to the sound quality of my system!
