Who Says It's the Music and Not the Playback??

Posted by Todd Krieger on April 27, 2007 at 17:25:54:

The other day, a friend oversaw the Rush "R30" Neil Peart drum solo on my PC, and he commented: "Wow, that's one of few times I've seen Peart and was impressed. That solo is FAR better than the one you played about a month ago.... FAR better."

I then told him- "That was the same clip you saw a month ago. From Rush 'R30'". It is the only Peart drum solo I have stored on my PC.

Needless to say, he was surprised at what I told him. When he saw the acoustic performance by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson after that, he realized it was the same clip. Aside from refining the playback on the PC, which I think has improved considerably, everything else was the same.
