You could test an experiment to demagnetize your CD.
Either you take a sufficiently consequent magnet, size of your support, or you use, as we did, the magnet of a loudspeaker, to which you apply a soft paper, then you pass your CD slowly above, just touch lightly.
An about twenty to sixty seconds are enough ... listen to before the passage over the magnet, then after and known as us what your opinion about it. 8)
