... in many folks (myself included) it never gets much worse than when you first notice it. That's not to say that it doesn't become particularly bothersome when you need your hearing the most, as when comparing new components. The act of concentrating tends to worsen mine and I can't imagine how bad it would get during a double-blind tst :-)
