It's probably more often then not a person listens to something and loves the sound, while silently wishing the design characteristics where more pleasing to the eye. Most people looking at high end equipment are likely to cast aside general appearance for sound quality. while at the same time a lot of manufacturers go to great lengths to make their equipment both sound, and look good. Since these are both very subjective to individual preference. The consumer is faced with a double edge sword of finding two subjective points to meet his or her expectations.
