Thanks for your post. The amp is not out of the box. It is a demo, and has been through its break-in period (per my high-end dealer). The speakers, as has been noted, are not broken in yet.

Part of the issue may be that historically my husband and I have purchased mass market equipment at "low fi" or touched on "mid fi." These are probably our first upper end mid fi product purchases. As I understand it at this point, when you start getting into this area it will bring out the weak links in your system. I called my dealer this a.m., and he's sending several amps for me to demo at home, including the new Arcam Diva 65 amp.

Although it is more pricey, I probably will make the majority of my audio purchases from this dealer. It has been nice to be able to return equipment and evaluate other options without having paid a dollar (for equipment or shipping).
