Newest multiplex near me...

...opened up a month or so early for the new Star Wars film with an interesting business model.

We saw it in the IMAX theater, which was a little smaller, not as high and enveloping as the older ones.

It had reclining sets and swing around trays on the right armrest.

Waiters came down the aisle before the show started to take your orders - popcorn, soft drinks, nachos, sandwiches, beer and wine.

You can turn on the light on the front of your chair to order more during the movie.

At the end they bring your check.

Different business model but doomed to failure, IMO, with about 10 waiters per show - and a 45 minute wait for popcorn and drinks.
