'It Comes At Night': Take your disappointment blanket . . .

Posted by Billy Wonka on June 10, 2017 at 11:23:25:

Sounds like a spooky, supernatural, ghoul in the deep woods who's getting hungry, donnit? Well, cuddle up with your disappointment blanket and settle in for a nap.

This is about a worldwide plague that is killing nearly everyone with a horrible affliction. People have become desperate and rove for water and food wherever it can be found. Fortunately, Edgerton and his small family have a place deep in the woods where little contact occurs. That is until Chris Abbott breaks in one night looking for supplies. After tough vetting through Edgeton's highly protective means (quarantined by being tied to a tree overnight). Once trust is established, Abbott's family is retrieved and they enter into a tightly run, paranoid world Edgerton has established.

This film is not about spooks and scary things. It is about how far a man would go to protect his family which in itself becomes scary. So, this is really a very edgy drama that can wait for HBO.

Got to give them 10/10 on Social Engineering. Hollywood just won't stop.
