Halt and Catch Fire

I stumbled upon this AMC series on Netflix and got hooked. The story is set in the early 80s PC boom just after the IBM PC was released. Being loosely based on Compaq, the goal is to build the first portable, IBM compatible PC.

The key trio consists of the geek, engineer, a smooth tongued, ex-IBM salesman and a young, college dropout, software genius that also happens to be a woman.

Having lived through too many Comdex shows of the time, the show does capture the era beautifully and keeps me clicking to the next episode.
