'No Second Chance': Drama, action, and lots of smarm . . .

This six episode mini tells the tale of a Parisian woman (Alexandra Lamy) who is shot in her kitchen after discovering her dead husband and her child missing. Thus starts a fairly fast-paced drama of Alice racing to find her daughter while the police saunter behind. Well acted and a somewhat compelling story, there was occasional smarm infused for the lady folks.
Congrats for Lamy for sporting the perfect Parisian "bedroom hair" throughout the mini. Hippolyte Girardot played the Parisian inspector assigned to the case with the perfect arrogance one might expect of a seasoned professional. Pascal Elbe was Alice's former lover from the past who happened to appear as the knight to save her. The story began to develop more and more mini-twists after epi two--some contrived some not.
This is not critical stuff but is compelling and entertaining. It's aimed at the ladies with enough action to satisfy the testosterone in the room.
