Interesting comments, Rico, on Barbara Stanwyck being a favorite "hottie."
I've always thought that the one thing she wasn't was "hot"...great actress, in everything from comedey to drama, but not much sex-appeal.
This isn't a very popular opinion in film noir chats, but I think Babs is the weak link that keeps the classic Double Indemnity from being a truly great film (along with the ultra stiff Freddy Mac.).
Interestingly enough, I thought she aged very well, and looked her best late in her career with tv's The Big Valley.
To each his own, I guess.
